Manifesto

I asked you to find the definition for Manifesto. We narrowed down the different meanings. You were also asked to read a manifesto or two manifestos so you could have a better idea.

By now, you should know what a MANIFESTO is. Well, this time I am asking you to write your own manifesto

Before you commit to any ideas I suggest you have a look at other manifestos. I have for you the Wussy Boy Manifesto by a slam poet I really like; Big Poppa E. You can also watch it on video.
I strongly recommend that look for other manifestos that might be more serious or more to your liking.

So, Who are you? What do you believe in? What motivates you? What are your convictions?

On this occasion I am inviting to be introspective.

By the end of the class, I need to see a report on your progress.

You will present your manifesto to the class in any form you like, but you must speak in class.
  • Be creative.
  • Speak honestly and openly
  • Don´t use PowerPoint.
  • Don't use a translator!
  • Don't be shy, but most importantly be honest.
NOTE: a manifesto is NOT a biography. It isn't where you have been, or a justification of your life or past decisions. A manifesto is more "where you are going" and "Why" and "HOW".

Manifestos will be presented on Monday, September 28th.

There is only ONE chance to present. Every one must be ready on Monday.

Once you have read this post, leave a comment with your opinion of this assignment, be honest and explain yourself clearly. Write it in English

BIBLIGRAPHICAL REFERENCES

In order to avoid plagiarism, and also to show what we can do with the material we read, you need to inform your reader of all your sources. These are the 3 basic examples for bibliographical references. Follow them carefully.

Can Creativity Be Learned?

There are people who believe that creativity is something you are born with... I don't think so. What makes a person creative is more a choice of a actions, rather than destiny.

As you know the brain is divided in two. I am sure you remember what each side does. Here is a chance for you to test which side of the brain you use most. then you also have to be more aware of what type of learner you are, as you will probably communicate a similar fashion.

We need to "polish" or develop your creativity... or at least know how to create in the age of remix. Why don't people use their creativity more often? I will tell you why; because it is easier not to think; it takes less effort to do things the way we have always done them; it is more comfortable NOT to take risks; it is less comlicated to do what is commonly accepted. What happens if you do what EVERYBODY else does is... mmm... nothing. You are safe. Bored, but safe.
We will not be safe anymore. Today, you will creatively explore your own creativity and personality. This is your chance to determine what should be expected and content which is truely original and creative.

Avoid apathy and laziness. This assigment is part of this month's grade.

Learning a about The Brits and The Scots

This is the flag of Scotland. As you know, we will be presenting projects on Scotland. In order to determine how we will go about it we will do this activity called a WebQuest. A WebQuest is an activity where the focus is getting information and then interpreting the information to your team. If you do this correctly you should be practicing your English from beginning to end.

This WebQuest is called The Truth About The Brits. Once we do this activity we will have the basis for our project about Scotland. That means that you will be reponsible for how we go about researching and presenting the projects about Scotland.

For this activity you have a guideline, but you will have to be independent and responsible. You will start your WebQuest todat and you will present your findings on Friday. Good luck and enjoy.
This WebQuest is the intelectual propperty of Mónica Morcillo.
