I asked you to find the definition for Manifesto. We narrowed down the different meanings. You were also asked to read a manifesto or two manifestos so you could have a better idea.
By now, you should know what a MANIFESTO is. Well, this time I am asking you to write your own manifesto.
Before you commit to any ideas I suggest you have a look at other manifestos. I have for you the Wussy Boy Manifesto by a slam poet I really like; Big Poppa E. You can also watch it on video.
I strongly recommend that look for other manifestos that might be more serious or more to your liking.
So, Who are you? What do you believe in? What motivates you? What are your convictions?
On this occasion I am inviting to be introspective.
By the end of the class, I need to see a report on your progress.
You will present your manifesto to the class in any form you like, but you must speak in class.
- Be creative.
- Speak honestly and openly.
- Don´t use PowerPoint.
- Don't use a translator!
- Don't be shy, but most importantly be honest.
Manifestos will be presented on Monday, September 28th.
There is only ONE chance to present. Every one must be ready on Monday.

ReplyDeleteI think it's a really good idea for an activity because it gives place to express our mentality.
(Fyszh) Freedom of speech, such a gratefull fredoom, thig that can opend the doors of true and close the ones of ingnorance, people can know alot by knowing what they like, but how can we express it if this "freedom" is so prostitute for communications mediums such asbig as TV...

ReplyDeletethis homework will help us to know more things about ourselves, and it also will be useful to learn how to express ourselves better in front of a group. i have not idea of what i am going to put on my manifesto yet but i'm gonna look for some other manifestos to give me an idea.

I think that will be an oportunity to do something more cretive than presentations. Write a manifesto can be dificult if you don't know who are you. I'm glad with this oportunity to express my self and to know all the groups personality.

If you want to know how achieve your goals and elaborate a plan to doing…I think … this is an interesting activity because involve different situations of our life, a manifesto is a defined as a declaration of one’s opinions, motives, beliefs and intentions, i mean is a simply document or text with your personal ideas.
ReplyDeleteAs a resume all the important steps to make a manifesto are the following ideas; we need to pick the topics, then use affirmative language, ask yourself about strengths and weaknesses, focus on one aspect of your life and finally write it down in a paper.

Is for open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people. If you believe in something you need written. If you don´t like something, change it. If you don´t like your job, quit.

This will be really insteresting, a good way to express ourselfs without having any kind of fear of not being prepared for it. This will come from our own thoughts and emotions.
